Edit Ron originally does not want to approve Leslie’s bid to fill in a construction pit and turn it into a park because he is so opposed to government interference, he does not believe the parks department should build parks. However, he is convinced to green-light the project when city planner Mark Brendanawicz cashes in an unspecified favor. Ron attempts to leave government employment and take a job offer that was previously offered to him at an Internet flower company website, but when he finds the business is doing extremely poorly, he sadly realizes he will be in his government job for a long time. Ron discovers his coworker Tom Haverford ‘s green card marriage with Wendy , but agrees to keep it secret, especially after Tom discovers Ron secretly moonlights as a nightclub jazz musician with the name, “Duke Silver”. When Pawnee implements a policy requiring public officials to deal more directly to the public, Ron deems it “my hell”, and hires parks intern April Ludgate to serve as his personal assistant to protect him from the citizens. He has 93 meetings scheduled on one day and April attempts to quit.
Edit Tom appears lackadaisical about his work at the parks department and regularly undermines Leslie. He plays online Scrabble against his superior, Ron Swanson , during work time and loses on purpose in order to further his career. Ron, who believes in as little government interference as possible, approvingly states of Tom, “He doesn’t do a lot of work around here.

The original story arc was Leslie’s struggle to turn the pit in Lot 48 into a park. After the Re Tool going into season two, the pit was filled in, but the idea to build a park was dropped almost completely by season three as the show picked up other storylines. In-universe this is because the department’s budget, already too small to support the project, was drastically cut. During the camping episode, Leslie says that they couldn’t continue turning the lot into a park because Chris wanted the next project to bring in revenues.
The lot remains unmentioned for two years afterwards, until April suggests making it into a dog park in season five’s “Leslie vs. An impromptu groundbreaking occurs in Ann’s last episode, then the Time Skip reveals Pawnee Commons was completed shortly after the end of Season 6.

This is not exactly a humor book. Modern Romance compiles numerous anecdotes from his stand-up, their focus groups, and a subreddit they set up, as well as studies and conversations with prominent psychologists and relationship experts. Want to know all about dating these days, plus occasional, weird Photoshopped graphics?
This book has that total package. With that in mind, my skeptical, dating-averse brain began automatically scanning the book for awful advice.
Absurdly Long Limousine: When Tom Haverford started his media company, he bought such a limo, with a hot tub in the back. It was this sort of business decision that caused his company to go belly-up quickly. Accidental Misnaming: Ron calls Ann “Jenny” after she finally manages to engage both him and.
December 31st, at 5: Not sure of the requirement or policies of these institutions but it might be something to look into. December 31st, at Aliquippa needs to answer to no one. You should feel very proud of your public school football tradition and the tradition of your whole area. December 29th, at 1: To suggest the Quips play 3a because its the easiest path to a state title is absolutely ludicrous and at some level insulting.
I agree this past year 3a was the weakest level on a relative basis although Jeanette would not have won 3a but the Quips CHOOSE to play up in what is proven to be the top district at that 3a level. They picked the hardest road to their own district championship and did it at least in part to play against their traditional rivals as their enrollment has shrunk. Making that suggestion even more absurd is they played up in the four class system when the levels were not watered down like they are today.
So in summary what Aliquippa continues to do year in and out is THE most consistently impressive thing I have seen in the state over the past decade.

I went on a date with Aziz Ansari. It turned into the worst night of my life by Katie Way She approached him because she recognized his camera flash — Aziz Ansari was taking pictures at the Emmy Awards after-party with a film camera, not a digital one. We are not using her real name to protect her identity because she is not a public figure. They flirted a little — he took two pictures of her, she snapped some of him — and then she and her date went back to the dance floor.

Character overview[ edit ] Pratt summarized Andy Dwyer as “dim-witted and guileless and a real idiot, but lovable. Ann matured faster than Andy did; while Ann entered into a career in nursing, Andy was lazy and unmotivated. After being dumped by Ann, Andy begins living in the pit. Though absentminded and possessing an extremely short attention span, Andy is shown to have a savant-like memory. For instance, he received the highest grade the police academy had ever seen on the written entrance test, has an uncanny ability to remember movies word for word, and is able to memorize a long list of facts for his feminist college class in the episode, “Smallest Park.
Andy also possesses a wild imagination, which helps him become a children’s performer named Johnny Karate and then get his own children’s television show.
